I Want To Find Out More About Sweet Suzy
This movie poster of Sweet Suzy comes from my friend Scott. I think it’s a really cool poster. I’ve never seen this trashy Russ Meyer flick before. I did look it up to find out more about it. The film, also called Black Snake, was released in 1973. I saw it described as Russ Meyer meets Blaxploitation meets the Ilsa movies. The film is centered on the cruel mistress of a colonial slave owning plantation named Lady Susan. She dominates both the black and white men on the island. Lady Susan was played by Anouska Hempel. I’m intrigued now to see what else I can dig up about this movie. Has anybody here seen it? The movie definitely elicits some strong reaction from people, most of it not that good.
