Lee Meriwether As Catwoman
Julie Newmar was unable to play in the 1966 Batman feature film due to other commitments. The role was recast with Lee Meriwether as Catwoman. Even though I’m a huge fan of Julie Newmar’s take on Catwoman, I also really liked Lee Meriwether in the part as well. I know her portrayal gets mixed reaction from fans. I thought she did quite well as Catwoman and Miss Kitka (she was supposedly a Soviet journalist, but it was really Catwoman out of her costume). The character really seemed to be in lust and love with Bruce Wayne in the film. The feeling definitely was mutual.
